- Yarn: Village Yarn Craft Cotton, 100% cotton
- Yardage: 125 (169, 196, 276) (356, 437, 454) yds
- Hook: I (5.5 mm)
- Gauge: 17 sts and 18 rows = 4" in the stitch pattern
- Construction: top down in continuous rounds, braided band, then increases to shape the brim, with optional wire in the last round
- Notions: scissors, yarn needle, removable stitch marker, plastic coated wire and jewelry pliers (optional)

- Will the brim hold its shape? An optional plastic coated wire in the final round keeps the brim where you want it.
- Can I make the brim wider? Yes. You increase to shape the brim out to your preferred width.
- Is there a seam? No. It is worked top down in continuous rounds.
