Three little braided witch hats that hold their point and look so cute grouped together on a mantel, shelf, or table. They're not just for Halloween, either. Leave them out all fall long.

The Wheat Stitch Witch Hat Trio is worked in one piece from the point down, with no seams to sew. The braided texture comes from the Wheat Stitch, a simple repeat of back-loop single crochet and puff-stitch rounds, worked on a smaller hook than the yarn calls for so the cone stands up on its own.

The brim finishes with a round of clean single crochet for a tidy edge. Style them with twine, moss, and mushrooms like the samples, or swap in mini pumpkins, acorns, or faux fall leaves. One ball of yarn makes all three sizes.
