Soft Willow Crochet Beanie: a cozy textured hat you crochet flat as one simple rectangle.

Rows of single crochet and a crossed treble give this beanie a soft, leaning willow texture. Back loop slip stitches at each end of the row form the ribbed brim and shape the crown at the same time, so once your rectangle is done, you just join the edges, cinch the top closed with your tail, and add a faux fur pompom if you like.

It comes in eight sizes from Newborn to Adult Large, with a regular brim or a fold-up brim, so one pattern covers the whole family. My sister Kirsten designed, crocheted, and filmed this one herself.
