The Reed Crossover Stitch gives the surface a woven, basket-like crosshatch that reads as intricate even though it's just a two row repeat under the hood. Pick it up, find the rhythm, and you'll have a finished bookmark before your tea goes cold.

It's a tiny project with a big yield. Each bookmark drinks up only 18 yards of fingering weight cotton (22 with the tassel), so a single skein turns into a whole stack of them.
