The blanket is worked flat in rows using the four row Petal Loop Stitch, with increases and decreases placed across each row to build the chevron. The texture and the waves come from the same stitch, so you are not juggling two things at once.

Colors change every two rows for the striped finish. The sizing chart tells you your starting chain, and from there it is the same repeat the whole way up.
