Knotted Mesh Crochet Bag Pattern

One rectangle. One knot. That is the whole bag.

You work a flat panel with solid double crochet bands at both ends and an open mesh section through the middle. Block it, fold it in half, tie a single knot at the center, and that knot becomes the handle and the structure at the same time.

The mesh gathers around the knot. The solid bands form a sturdy base. There is no working in the round and no counting increases, just a two row repeat once the first band is done.
