Petal Loop Stitch Pumpkin Crochet Pattern

Three pumpkins, three sizes, and the texture runs the right way around.

You work each one flat, then seam it into a tube. That is the trick. It makes the Petal Loop texture run vertically around the finished pumpkin, just like the ridges on a real rind, and the stitch does the shaping for you.

Every row begins and ends with a slip stitch section that builds a firm border along both ends, and that border is your cinching line, so closing them up is quick and tidy. Stuff them, leave room at the top for a cinnamon stick stem, and stack them however you like. Attach them permanently for a set that stays put, or leave them loose so you can rearrange all season.
